The Rebound
Starting again. Sleep on your own side. All of it.
A new mattress is the least dramatic and most effective thing you can buy when a chapter ends. The Rebound is our everyday build, a medium feel with gel memory foam over three-zone pocket springs, with a terracotta edge and your name on the label.
We collect the old one when we deliver, and it goes to recycling, not back into someone else's bedroom. You do not have to see it again.
Who this chapter is for
- Separated, divorced, or just done, and the old mattress is the last thing in the flat that remembers.
- Anyone starting again after a loss, when a new bed is a practical step that also happens to help.
- People moving into their own place in their forties and fifties and buying a proper bed for the first time in years.

6/10

What it feels like, and who it suits.
No showroom, so we tell you everything a showroom would. If the feel is wrong after 30 nights, we swap it.
This chapter is 6 out of 10 on our scale, where 10 is a board. The dashed band, 6 to 7.5, is where most people sleep best.
Very good
Good
Good in Firm tension
Medium tension up to about 16 stone per person; Firm above that, or for front sleepers.
Any sprung or platform-top divan, or slats no more than 7 cm apart. A centre rail in king.
Standard fitted sheets fit (25 cm).
Pocket springs move independently, so you feel little of your partner turning. For very restless partners, look at The New Parent.
Rotate head to toe every three months in the first year, then twice a year. Use a breathable protector. Never fold it. It is one-sided: do not flip it.
Roughly 29 to 34 kg in a double. Our two-person team carries it in; you never lift it.
Every layer, by density.
This is the spec sheet the factory works to. If a layer is not listed here, it is not in the mattress. The cutaway is drawn from the spec, to scale, and the same scale is used for every chapter.
Read top (sleep surface) to bottom (base). Heights are to scale. Spring counts are stated for a 5ft king, the industry convention. Foam densities are the figures we specify to the factory in writing for every layer.
What happens when you order.
1. We make it
Your Rebound is made to order in Yorkshire in 10–14 days, with the build date on the label and your tension recorded on the order.
2. Two people deliver it
Flat, never rolled. Carried to the room you choose, unwrapped, placed on the base, packaging taken away. Old mattress collected if you asked.
3. 30 nights, then 10 years
If the feel is wrong after 30 nights we swap it within the range, in one visit. After that, the 10-year guarantee covers the build. Full terms.
The Rebound, answered.
Is this the same as The Single Life?
Same build, same price, different edge colour and label. The Single Life is sold in single to king; The Rebound is sold in double, king and super king because that is what people starting again tend to buy.
Do you take the old mattress away?
Yes, for a small fee, on the same visit. It goes to a recycling partner who strips the steel and the foam. We do not resell used mattresses under any circumstances.
Which tension?
Medium for most people. If you shared a Firm bed for years and never liked it, this is your chance to go Medium. If you always secretly wanted it firmer, go Firm. Tension is free.
How quickly can you deliver?
Made to order in 10 to 14 days, then a two-person delivery to the room of your choice. If you are moving into somewhere empty, we can deliver on a specific day and time window.

New house, new bed: the moving checklist for the mattress nobody plans
Moving is when mattresses get replaced, damaged or abandoned. Whether to move the old one, how to protect it if you do, sizes and stairs in the new house, and timing the new one so nobody sleeps on the floor.
Why a new mattress is the first thing to buy after a breakup
The bed is the last thing in the flat that remembers. A practical, unsentimental guide to replacing it: what to buy when you are choosing for yourself for the first time in years, and what to do with the old one.
The next ones.
A mattress lasts eight to ten years, and life moves on. These are the chapters people go to next.
The Bad Back Years
For when your back starts having opinions.
The Hot Flush
For menopause, summer, and one leg out.
The Hotel Bed
Why is it always better in a hotel? This is why.
Be first when we launch
A mattress lasts eight to ten years. We will write to you once when we open, and again when it is time to think about the next one. That is the whole list.
